Each autumn, NYC tri-state area radio and television stations, corporations, performing artists and sports celebrities unite with the general public to support WHY´s fight against hunger and poverty through Hungerthon.
Hungerthon is a series of fundraising concerts and events that culminate with a Radiothon. Through Hungerthon, WHY raises funds to support programs fighting hunger and poverty; and gives a media voice to the more than 9,000 community-based groups nation-wide that WHY supports. During Hungerthon, WHY educates the public about hunger and poverty -- and invites their participation in the solutions.
